Why Arrow Storage Sheds are Easiest to Build and Maintain
Whether it be for storage, projects, fun, or otherwise, sheds are a popular way to add more space to your yard. And of all the different types of sheds - wood, concrete, steel - Arrow Sheds are among the easiest sheds to build and maintain. You just assemble the pieces, anchor it to the ground, and you're done!
Arrow storage sheds are sold as pre-fabricated steel pieces. Unlike wood sheds, this means the only tools you need to build them are a screwdriver, pliers, and a ladder! As compared to wooden sheds which require miter saws, hammer and nails, levels, more time, and significantly more complex assembly plans.
Because arrow storage sheds are constructed of galvanized steel, they are also significantly more durable than wooden storage sheds. The steel never rusts, warps, or molds. And their finishes which come in vinyl, baked enamel, electro-galvanized steel, and pinewood - require virtually no maintenance. They are resistant to fading and can be left unpainted. This is why arrow storage sheds are backed by 12 and 15 year warranties – they simply last longer by design.
Arrow Storage Sheds are Cheaper than Conventional Sheds
Another benefit of the galvanized steel Arrow shed is their cost. These sheds are much cheaper to both buy and assemble than regular sheds. There's no roofing material required, they come with the option of having a plywood-ready steel base, and they include a self anchoring kit. This also eliminates the added expense of pouring a concrete base if you so desire. Because of their durability, there will also be no ongoing maintenance costs. You don't have to paint them, stain them, or re-roof them every several years.
Arrow Storage Sheds are Perfect for Flexible Uses
Today, people everywhere are using the conventional garden shed for completely unconventional things – from playhouses to game rooms, greenhouses to mini-shops. The construction of the arrow shed is perfect for this. You can easily install utilities and other necessities, you don't have to worry about cleaning it, and it's easily relocated if you use the including anchoring kit as the foundation.
No matter what intentions you have, an arrow shed will set up fast and provide years of use without maintenance while you go on with life.

How to Use the Small Spaces in Your Storage Shed
If you’re going to use a storage shed, it’s a good idea to make full use of every part of it that you can. The whole point of having storage sheds is to help you keep your stuff put up where it belongs and where you can find it when you need it. This might be Christmas decorations that you only need once a year or it could be lawn equipment that you need on a weekly basis.
Whatever the situation, you need to learn to use your storage shed to its absolute fullest. No matter what size storage shed you have, you can learn to make the most of even the small spaces so you get a lot of storage for your needs.
There are several different ways that you can do this but they all involve organization. You might want to install some shelving units to your storage shed so you can keep smaller and lighter things up high and organized on shelves. There are even some shelf designs that allow for hanging hooks from the ceiling. This gives you even more space to place things.
You can use plastic or Rubbermaid type containers to store things in and then stack them on top of one another so that you pack more into your storage shed than you ever would have been able to do otherwise. While making use of these ideas for using small spaces in your storage shed, you also want to be sure you allow enough room for walking inside and actually using the shed.
If you cram too much in and you’re not able to get to the things you need, it will be pointless because this goes against the purpose of having a storage shed in the first place. So make use of all your space, but keep it organized.

Some Storage Sheds Have a Porch
When the wife told me she would like to have a porch on the shed I was talking about building, I was a bit surprised. I never thought about a porch on a shed. I know she had me add a porch to her potting shed, and I remember I had no drawing and it was a real challenge. But, I would humor the wife and look for shed plans with a porch. It would not cost me anything to look.
I looked around at the big back yard and realized there would be plenty of room for a porch on the shed. I still did not think I would find a plan for a shed with a porch.
As I thought more and more about the shed we definitely needed, the idea of a porch became more appealing. Just about every square inch of the sheds I have built us in the past was usable space, so I began to visualize a porch as a nice place to sit and have a glass of iced tea after a morning of cutting grass.
I added a porch to the potting shed I built for my wife sometime back. It was not an easy project because I did not have a set of drawings. But, I have noticed how much my wife enjoys the porch. And it gives her some space for her flowers to enjoy direct sunlight.
She works most of her magic with flowers inside the structure, especially during bad weather, but having the porch gave her adequate shade to be outside but not get over heated.
Since the shed with a porch idea became so appealing to me, I thought it was time to take a look online and see if there was such a thing as drawings for a shed with a porch.
To my great surprise and delight, I found just that: drawings for sheds with porches. As I looked at the drawing I saw the usual list of materials and the sheet for cutting the lumber to proper sizes.
The porch would serve us best, I decided, if it were big enough to have a swing on it. You can tell I was fully sold on the porch idea. I bought twice the amount of stuff the porch required so it would be big enough for the swing.
It is true, many sheds are eyesores on property. My wife's potting shed fit into our landscape rather nicely. Even nicer when I added the porch. She and I noticed that the porch is what made the potting shed blend better with the landscaping.
History had already taught me I needed good plans that included plans for the porch. I knew if the angles and support for the porch were not exact, the roof could collapse, and all my hard work and money would be wasted.
It started with my wife's suggestion to add a porch to the shed we planned on building. When I found professionally drawn plans for a shed with a porch we were ready to proceed with the project. The project is now finished and the wife and I are enjoying iced tea from the swing on the porch of our new shed.
Building a shed with porch was not a problem once I got a good set of drawings. You can build one too. Go to http://www.shedplansandprojects.info and select the drawings you need.
