Hawaii Cruise: A Great Option

by Ellen Gentry

Hawaii is easily one of the most beautiful states in the US. The archipelago consists of eight main islands: Niihau, Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Lanai, Kahoolawe, Maui, and the Island of Hawaii (also called the Big Island). The Island of Hawaii is the largest of the eight, but each island has its own special charm and rich history. Can you imagine a better way to tour these beautiful tropical islands than by boat? If not, you will most definitely enjoy a Hawaii cruise.

If you're looking to see as many of the Hawaiian Islands as possible, a Hawaii cruise may be a very good option for you. Hawaiian cruises vary in length, from seven to twelve days. Many of the cruises depart of different ports of call. Some leave from the capital of Hawaii, Honolulu. Others cruise ships leave from various cities in California, the Baja peninsula of Mexico including Ensenada, Sydney, Australia and Vancouver, Canada.

Your days at sea will be filled with excellent dining, luxurious accommodations, and beautiful views of the sea. Relax at one of the ships lounges, or catch a movie. Spend the night on the dance floor or watch a live show. Many boats offer fitness centers, casinos, and spa services. If you are traveling with the kids, a host of activities will entertain them for the day, allowing you the chance to mingle with adults, spend quality time with your spouse, or to just relax.

On your Hawaii cruise you will see and experience volcanoes, beautiful beaches, exotic plants and animals, and much, much more! There are many activities to do and enjoy such as swimming, snorkeling, and of course experiencing an authentic luau. Luxurious Hawaiian cruises appeal to many couples for their romantic settings, such as walking along the beach at sunset, watching waterfalls in the jungle, and sharing a magnum of champagne on the deck of your cruise ship.

Casual attire is in order when on the ship. Be prepared for the temperature to be between 60 and the 80s. The temperature may drop at night so it is wise to bring a light jacket. The sun is intense on a cruise, so bring plenty of protection against the sun. You'll be happy you brought a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen when the sun reflects off the ocean. The reflection intensifies the rays of the sun. Most importantly, don't forget your swimsuit!

You should look into Hawaii cruise packages. You'll be saving money while enjoying Heaven on Earth. Imagine the lush greenery viewed across rolling aqua waves. You could even see some animals that you have never seen before. Go online or call an agent to learn what packages are available. You will certainly not regret it.
