Outdoor storage sheds are very useful and versatile for a variety of things. In fact, not everyone uses their sheds for plain old boring storage reasons. Let's look at several ideas for various ways you can use your own storage sheds.
1. Gift Hiding - Whether you want to hide Christmas gifts from your spouse, the kids, or other friends and family, storage sheds which can be locked are wonderful to use for this. You can even stash wrapping paper, scissors, bows, ribbons and tape in the shed too, and put a small table or workbench in there if you have the room, so you can wrap and prepare presents in private as needed.
2. Craft Storage - Anyone who loves to do a variety of crafts - whether it's for fun and hobby or for a small side business - knows how much space all that extra craft material can take up over time. Using a storage shed to keep your craft materials will give you plenty of room for all the extra yarn, scrapbooking supplies, clothing pieces, patterns, fabric and more.
3. Outdoor Toybox - This is an excellent idea for anyone with small children. Give them a storage shed to use as an outdoor toy box. This can be the place they put away their toy wagons, big-wheels, pool floaters, yard balls and more.
4. Pool House - Even smaller sheds can make a great basic pool house. You can use the shed to store all the pool related cleaning equipment and supplies, the seasonal items such as your winter cover, and the toys and floats too. If your shed is big enough, you could even use a corner of it as a changing area, and keep extra swimsuits in there too.
5. Home Improvement - If you have one or more ongoing home improvement projects in progress, dedicating an outdoor storage shed just for the use of those projects can help you keep everything much more organized. Keep your building plans, lumber, roof tiles, paint cans and supplies and anything else related to your projects all together in one convenient spot.
